Andy Tolman  Double Bass

Andy Tolman started his playing career in 1988 as a drummer but while he enjoyed making a massive amount of noise he found the lack of "notes" restrictive. He was also rubbish at it so he moved to bass guitar, taking up the double bass soon after. This led to Andy studying jazz at the Royal Academy of Music, graduating in 1997 with a honours degree and a bloated liver. Since then Andy has performed, recorded or shared a stage with artists as diverse as Lady Smith Black Mambaza, Kiri Te Kanawa, Micheal Buble, Stacie Orrico, P!nk and slightly bizarrely, Jamie Oliver. At present Andy is performing with The Electric Experience playing Hendrix-esque originals and The Tarantinos who are performing at many major European festivals.
